Capturing Memories

I grew up in the small town of Beebe, Arkansas. I’m the oldest of four kids, which I believe naturally made me a bit of a leader, and maybe even a little bossy at times! Some of my favorite memories include baking friendship bread with my momma and my nanny, as well as spending time outdoors and fishing with my dad. Being in nature is still one of the places where I feel the most at peace. I’m a big believer in finding joy in the little things. A strong cup of coffee, a good historical fiction novel, or putting together a bold outfit can instantly brighten my day.

I love modest fashion and I enjoy mixing fun colors and prints—olive green and leopard print are definitely my favorites. I consider myself a high heel fanatic, and if they sparkle, chances are I'm adding them to my collection!

In 2019, I took a leap of faith and started my photography business. Photography has always been more than just a job for me—it’s a way to capture real, authentic moments that tell a story. I especially love photographing children and couples who are wildly in love; there’s something so magical about freezing those fleeting, joy-filled moments in time. I’m also a mother of one, and I’ve recently entered the empty nester stage of life. It’s a new chapter that comes with both challenges and excitement, and while I’m also newly single, I see this season as an opportunity to grow, dream, and explore. I don’t get to travel as much as I’d like, but it’s definitely on my heart to see more of the world. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me with an iced coffee in hand, browsing Hobby Lobby, Target, TJ Maxx, or HomeGoods for inspiration (and maybe a deal or two). This is me—a small-town girl with big dreams, a love for people, and a passion for capturing the beauty of life through my lens.

The Passion Behind my Why

When I look back at pictures from my own childhood, there's no doubt that my favorites are the candid shots where true emotion is on full display. These images help bring back memories of our family throughout the years. After losing my mother to cancer, pictures from my childhood have become far more than just a good laugh at my awkward phase in junior high. They are a visual reminder that even though our family wasn't perfect, there was so much love in our home. And this is the reason photographing families means so much to me.

I want your family to have meaningful images, that you will look back on for generations to come.  Every family has a unique story. Every stage of life brings about new joys and struggles. Your life will not always look the way it does right now. So whether it's a family of two figuring out their new life together, the joy of a pregnancy or adoption, the monumental moment of bringing a newborn baby home, the chaos of life with young children, the special milestones throughout the growing up years, the single parent thriving with his/her children, the empty nesters keeping the flame alive, or the grandparents who love nothing in the world more than their grandchildren, It's all important. I am passionate about the work I do because 'Time moves slowly, but passes quickly,' and each and everyday, life is beautiful and worth remembering. It makes us who we are. Let's capture your story together.

“Sometimes, you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes memory.”
